GeneralFinished in elegant and subtle style, the mahogany edition of the Charvel Pro Mod DK22 comes topped with a beautiful slice of figured walnut and a classic, hyper-versatile SSS pickup configuration. The maple neck and fretboard have been caramelised to boost stability and match the colour-palette, which is completed by deluxe gold-plated hardware, from the Gotoh Custom 510 Tremolo bridge to the set of Charvel locking machine heads and jack input – which has been neatly hidden around the back.

Fast playing comfort is assured by the smooth feel of a Speed Neck profile, the lighter action of twenty-two jumbo frets and the consistent control and accuracy of a compound radius, while fret navigation is eased by a set of Luminlay side dots – no matter how dark things get. In terms of output, this Super Strat boasts the superior sound of a Seymour Duncan setup, where a potent Custom Hot Rails Strat sits at the bridge and two Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coils have been stacked at the neck and in the middle position.
