GeneralTaking the Paramount Series another step further, Fender introduce the fully matured PD-220E: an affordable electro-acoustic guitar that combines modern craftsmanship with various deeply-appreciated vintage touches. This dreadnought guitar has an all-solid construction, which means every part of the body has been made using solid wood, mahogany in this case. As a result, its classic steel-string sound is lent a warm touch and sweet, woody trebles, while the offset X-bracing only puts more emphasis on the already rich resonance. This guitar even comes complete with a deluxe black hard-shell case so it can be safely lugged to gigs or rehearsals.
The PD-220E: Simple Yet Effective Amplification Alongside a Snug Feel
Fender have equipped this Paramount dreadnought with the Sonitone Plus Soundhole Pickup System, which has been specially designed in collaboration with Fishman. This user-friendly system includes a classic Sonitone undersaddle piezo pickup teamed up with a body-sensing pickup fitted below the soundboard, and comes with nothing but a volume pot and a blend control so you can dial in spot-on tone in just seconds. Lastly, it’s worth mentioning thatthis Fender PD steel-string owes its natural playing comfort to a slim-taper C-profile neck and a smooth, non-stick satin-gloss coating all over.
